Over the last few months, I was able to pickup a couple new cards to my Devils PC as well as obtain other new cards too.
I got these cards 13-14 Panini Prizm cards in target value packs.
I added to my Devils PC by buying 3 new Stefan Matteau cards. I got his 13-14 Score RC, 13-14 Trilogy Rookie Premieres Autograph 108/699, and his 13-14 Artifacts Rookie Card. I pulled the 13-14 Score Signatures card of Denis Savard in a 13-14 Score Jumbo Pack, and the Prizm RC was obtained through a pack of Prizm. I received the 3 Upper Deck jersey cards through a box of 12-13 Upper Deck Series 1. I got UD Game Jerseys of Jeff Carter, Josh Bailey (patch 7/15), and Victor Hedman.
First off, let the Panini double rookie class season begin!!! 13-14 Score has taken the era of Score hockey to the next level. 11-12 Score was my favorite Score product until I saw this year’s product. This year, Score now has foil on the base cards. This is a nice addition to Score and something that was missing from Score in the previous years. Score hockey is mainly known for it’s base/rookies. 12-13 Score and older Score products rarely have hits. This year, Score has the base cards/rookies AND the hits that are usually harder to come by. This makes 13-14 Score hockey a very elite product. Score also has more bang for your buck because of the double rookie class. You get more rookies in one season than you usually have. That also means you will get more rookie cards than the normal amount. The Double Rookie Class behooves Score more than another Panini hockey product that will come out this year. The other thing that is different than other Score products are the packs and quantity. There are the regular packs, rack packs, and jumbo packs. These packs provide variety of selection to choose from. You can choose the regular packs, or you can buy a jumbo pack that contains 52 cards per pack. 52 cards is AMAZING for one pack of hockey cards. The packs are so big, they almost look mini boxes. In addition to that, these packs have autographs and jersey cards in them! (1 out of 10 jumbo packs for a jersey card) That is just incredible that at 52 cards per pack, you can also get an autograph or jersey card. Not only are the jersey cards generic. They have 8 players on them with their jerseys. This product has fantastic features. Score hockey now has the quantity and quality.
* Thank you Panini for this great product and this amazing contest!
As if it wasn’t bad enough that we had to wait until last Friday afternoon to film the already-overdue Panini Unwrapped episode starring the live and popping 2013-14 Score Hockey Hobby Jumbo, we’ve waited an additional three days to post it! But we’re aiming to make amends for our truancy this morning with a few extra goodies.
After the video, which includes gobs of informational wisdom from Panini America NHL Brand Manager Chris Barr, we’re also providing a complete breakdown of the set’s short prints. And after you’ve taken in the video and the SP list, we’re going to give you a chance to win one of five jumbo boxes of 2013-14 Score. More details on that below.

Really Cool! 13-14 Score has just blown me away with this Jumbo Box Gallery
Yes, we know that the official release date for the highly anticipated 2013-14 Score Hockey Hobby Jumbo product doesn’t arrive until next Wednesday. But you can’t really present us with a box 10 days early and expect us not to open it. After all, Panini America fans and readers of The Knight’s Lance crave nothing more than the earliest possible sneak peeks — and that’s exactly what we intend to give you right now.
The first thing you notice about a 2013-14 Score Hockey Hobby Jumbo box is the girth. It’s a massive pack-busting proposition that tips the scales at more than 2.2 pounds and delivers a whopping 520 total cards.

Absolutely sick! This just took Score to the next level with the Team 8 jersey cards. Cannot wait for this to release on July24!
Last week we brought you the glorious first glimpses of 2013-14 Score Hockey with a loaded Quality Control Gallery taken from the product’s retail configuration. As promised, today we’re back with your first look at the results from 2013-14 Score Hockey’s Hobby Jumbo packout process.
While the different configurations share many of the same attributes, there are some niceties that can be found exclusively in the Hobby Jumbo product, most notably the Team 8s one-per-box, eight-piece memorabilia cards and the base set’s Red-Back variations.

Recently, I picked up two packs of 12-13 Panini Certified hockey. Certified is a high end product from Panini. In a 10 pack box there is an average of 4 hits per box. The odds are, every 5 pack you buy, there should be an average of two hits. I have already opened many packs of this year’s Certified. Finding hits of both Colby Robak and Jimmy Hayes. This time around, I was hoping to have luck and maybe add other hit to my collection. Here are the results of my two packs of 12-13 Certified
Patrik Elias, Jaromir Jagr, Marian Gaborik, Brad Marchand, and Martin St.Louis
Steven Stamkos, Nazem Kadri, Robert Mayer Freshman Signatures 165/999, James Reimer, Dustin Byfuglien
In my two packs lf Certified, I was able to find another hit. Robert Mayer is currently part of the Montreal Canadiens organization. Though, with the new addidtion of Zachary Fucale, Mayer might not see as much NHL action as he would like to see. All in all, I was very happy with these two packs of 12-13 Panini Certified.
